Hey guys...
I feel like a heel not mentioning this and me being such a big SWAT Kats fan. Word's goin' around that the SWAT Kats could be brought back on your TV screens. One of the creators, Christian Trembley (forgive me if I spelled his name wrong), is trying to make this possible but needs help from the fans. I'm feeling a bit iffy about this. As I said on
's journal, I do want the cartoon to come back and have me proud to watch Cartoon Network once again but it SCARES me thinking about having it revived. The only good revised cartoon I've seen so far is Thundercats; yes the plot and animation is different but it's the good kind different, especially the way they changed Snarf.
I had a nightmare where humans, rookies in some kinda police force that don't like following the rules, somehow made their into the SWAT Kats universe, find the SWATKats hanger, and before you know it there were six SWATKats, three Turbokats, and one of them could turn into a mech. I wanted to punch myself in the head for even having that kinda dream
I'll be happy with the new SWAT Kats if they don't make it anime; no face-faults, sweatdrops, no having them say "Nyan!" and the like (and this is coming from an anime fan) but KEEP the "rushing at you" backgrounds (and I know in the 2nd series they kinda-sorta made it anime-ish but they didn't over do it)!
I can't say "don't add anymore SWATKats other than the originals". How many artists and writers self-inserted themselves as characters to give extra help to the SWATKats? *raises hand* Though...I'd see myself as one those amatuer camera kats running around with a video camera right under the feet of a gigantic Megasauraus Rex and not care if I get stomped on, just as long as I got something for...whatever would be the Megakat City version of YouTube.
And FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, don't make the Turbokat turn into a mech-robot! I will frikkin' shit bricks and throw my $2000 TV out the window.
...okay, I think I'm done ranting but I'm still conflicted on whether I should I sign or not. I'll settle the screaming fan in myself but will I regret it later? I don't know what I should do *falls to the floor sobbing*
