Our Safeway stores started out as Genaurdi's stores. They retained some of the Genaurdi's trappings like the pizza counter after they switched over. At least they did for a couple extra months.
Judging by the look of the video I am surprised it wasn't shown to my class when we were kids.
We were told such gems as the "fact" the the AIDS virus was smaller than the "pores" of the condom and would just go right through, and that for the girls if you had more than one sexual partner their stuff would "mix up inside you" and like... cause disease. Not that either of the men who fucked said hypothetical female would have a disease and give it to her, but the mere act of having more than one partner could like, cause some sort of disease to just pop into existence. Which is pretty disgusting and wrong cause either that means spunk just stays around for days/weeks/months/years or that they're warning the kids against a gangbang...
the "best" part of all that? the kids in my class just took that to mean condoms were useless and to not bother with them... but to go ahead and have sex.
It really does. It is pretty sad, to be perfectly honest. I am just thankful that I wasn't really given the chance to make those sorts of mistakes before I learned the truth. Though I was scared for a while about the disease thing, since I was in 5th grade and kind of stupid about sex and actually worried they were right [it didn't *feel* right, but it was before I had access to the internet/before it was common and they were "in power" so why wouldn't they be telling the truth?]
And it wasn't as insane as I imagine the Catholic school I went to would have been at that age. I just barely escaped that, I am not even sure they would have had a sex ed class of any sort, even of the abstinence-only variety. I guess, though that once you're in the heart of the south and the sheer amount of misinformation that goes around it doesn't matter if it was a private or public school. But yes! I survived, but only just. xD
Of course they got you when you where young and didn't know better, These people know exactly when a persons mind is most vulnerable, it makes me sick!
I always say, people who hate knowledge shouldnt be allowed to run a school. :)
Good gracious, 5th grade? I think my parents talked to me about sex around 6th grade, sure, but schools where I was started getting to sex-ed around middle-school (9th grade-ish). 5th grade seems super early to me to be talking about it in public classrooms. XD Especially if it's full of fail-information. :P Ah well, glad my area wasn't quite so nutty. SexEd when they got around to it was pretty simple basics. :) Glad you survived. XD
Well Christian school dont really have Sex Ed, instead they have creepy propaganda sessions full of dangerous misinformation, Theres nothing honest or true about it.
Well, considering how crappy America makes their shit, and that seems more true in more recent times, that vid may be right about there being no safe way for sex anymore. :P
I"m also curious as to why people seem to think less rampant abuse of sex is a bad thing. :I
Thats because most ""American"" goods are "made in China" because its cheaper and theres no standards, I've found products that are actually made in the USA tend to be very high quality, just extremely hard to find.
hehe what do you mean by "Abuse of Sex"? Sex is brilliant probably the best thing there is, Id say its even possible the point of being alive is to have as much of it as possible!
I'm gonna have to disagree with that, though it's mostly on a personal basis. I see sex as borderline vile. It's mostly just for self-pleasuring or a weapon of malice, almost all of the genuine sensuality has gone from it. It has become so fucking commonplace that people barely even blink anymore at the though of just finding one quick lay after another, and I find that makes the act abhorrent. Again, this is a personal view, and I don't expect anyone to agree in any fashion.
Also I find it funny how we see the guy being pressured by the girl for sex, think this is unrealistic and laugh.
But if the guy was pressuring her we'd see it as the generic stereotypes that are over exaggerated.
I once had a teacher say that he wasn't going to do the Bay to Breakers marathon anymore because he'd be rubbing sweaty shoulders with gays and he was worried he'd get the AIDS.
Gawd, makes me almost wish I could have gone to an american school just to constantly interrupt and question the validity of these abstinence only programs with hard scientific facts. Ya can say what ya want about the german school system but that "abstinence only" bullshit would never fly over here. ^^
Remember that most of the people pushing that abstinence-only garbage don't really want to stop things like teen pregnancy and disease. What they want is for the sluts to be punished for having sex.
The end result is to cut out all options to prevent pregnancy or disease (including experiments in bisexuality) so that the only option- in theory- is to just not have sex until married.
Problem is, you have kids who try to find their own shortcuts and usually get pregnant at 14, or get married at 16 and divorced at 17.
Sex and marriage are too heavily conflated. There are way too many marriages because the other person is attractive, and way too many because they can't perform. That's why if you talk about same-sex marriage in America, people's minds immediately go to the bedroom.
IMHO extramarital sex can actually build a better relationship, since you know what you're getting into and sex isn't some big disappointment that you've been saving up for. You can work on the things that matter, like actually communicating and understanding each other.
Catch 22, had you gone to one of these kind of schools instead of a German school, you would no longer have the educational background to ask those kinds of questions. :)
Wonder when this was made exactly. XD Funny stuff! Abstinence to a point is a fine thing to suggest but they were certainly pushing it in all the wrong ways there. XD
Rhetorical: And was rock'n'rolling about moral issues EVER a good idea? It was awful even back then.
Abstinence is an unrealistic expectation, we WILL fuck, its one of our primary drives like.. eating and breathing, So its important that we are armed with real facts so we can go about it in the safest way possible. This kind of shit costs lives, it really does.

It does exist.
Memories, man, memories...
That's going to be a tough one to explain to his parents.

*all the facepalms*
Seriously though as silly as this stuff is, this kind of misinformation really does cost lives.

BTW, dead sexy animations lately <3
Remember kids, condoms are for succubi, and if you get syphilis it's because God wanted you to die for being such an evil little sinner!

We're a funny people, we are.
Abstinence education is about as effective as showing them pictures of flowers and bees and letting them figure it out themselves.
...bee wants to bang te bird, but after it does the bird swells and the bee dies inside?
Im a survivor of sex then
