MANAGERIAL NOTE: We've been getting a lot of questions as to what exactly the Hang Tuff Posse is. Initially the idea was to have folks contact us (
or
) directly...but people weren't doing that. x.x So hopefully a brief mention here will clear things up!
Basically we both grew up with screaming adorations of various boy bands, namely New Kids on the Block. As a result, we decided to put our heads and artistic talents together and make a portfolio centred around a fictional furry boy band. We recruited our characters
and
and their pals, and created the 'folio around the teen idol hype and bright neon colours that were the late 80s/early 90s. The 'folio was a success, sales-wise, so we wanted to keep going.
In short, NO, it's not a musical endeavour nor is it anything to take seriously. It's just a couple of furry chicks out to have some fun with something we enjoy, and bring others into that fun! So sit back and enjoy the ride, and hopefully this clears things up!BAND NEWS: JANUARY 2011
2011 Was an amazing month! Our portfolio was a success, and it's still going strong!
However, this isn't the end, not by any means! We wanna keep Hangin' Tuff throughout 2012, too!
So we're gonna turn the question over to YOU, our fans! What would YOU guys like to see? Shirts? Backstage passes? Posters?
Let us know! If you have any other input, we'd love to hear from you on that as well!
Much Love,

talking to fans and working with some who cannot be there to say helps
make a spot for under privilaged furs to get to know them on a 1 to 1 plain
helping out with things in that field makes it more down to earth to say
concerts and shows are good ways to be seen but a fan base can go on to others in hospitals and homeless as well and many who cannot go to see the shows
just ideas
It wouldn't be as much work as a full commissioned pic, once the 'framework' is set up. First you select a pose for the group, say, everyone doing 'jazz hands' to the camera, then sketch up each member and the background as a separate pic. Once you have that you assemble it together as layers in Photoshop, and when someone buys a 'photo with the band, you just need to sketch that person's fursona in an appropriate pose, add it to the Photoshop composition, then send the client a flattened copy of the pic.
I know, I know, I'm thinking like an Engineer again, with 'reusable code' and 'design for mass production,' but continuing the band motif, the merch is supposed to pull in more money than it costs to make, and in RL, photos are a high profit item, since it takes but a few moments to produce.
Back in the day almost anything you could think of was plastered with boy bands so really almost anything could work. Keep up the good work guys! :D
