Yes, I killed all the nightkins and I didn't realise that I could help that ghoul with his dead girlfriend until it was too late. When I first went to see that Chris guy, he was fleeing. I chased him and caught him at the hatch that leads into the launch pad and started to talk with him, told me to go get a part for him, then he went back inside, I went and got the part, came back and he's not there. I don't have a previous save before it, considering that I didn't know that it was going to be so damn glitchy. -.-

If it isnt a main quest vital to finish the game I would just ignore it for now

I know, but I'm one of those people who start a quest and have to finish it before continuing.

I understand...but sadly if you are forced to move on you may have no choice..maby do another quest then come back to this one and hopefully Chris will be back

I'm thinking about doing that if there is no way to fix it. Hell, I might as well just finish it then do all the side-missions on a separate save.

Thanks, but from the looks of it, I may have other problems with it, but we'll just have to see.

Just skip it. If you're going for a replay you're still going to have to do stuff like a hardcore run and an evil run (you can bridge any ending from a certain point, but the evil alliances and end missions are so fundamentally different they require a new playthrough)

Me, I'm pissed at it for logging an achievement unlocked, but it never actually did on the dashboard. I dunno if I can fix that.

True, but what I'm not thinking about is that I just continue on with the main story then make another character and just use it for the sub-missions.

And damn, that sucks.
