One thing I really don't like about the furry fandom...[tw]

It's the blatant misogyny that plagues a significant chunk of it, along with the widespread complete ignorance as to what the word "rape" means.
Usually, I find the furry fandom to be pretty good in terms of acceptance for people's differences, and stuff like that, which is what attracted me to it in the first place.
But I hate how the word "rape" is thrown around so casually these days by people who don't even seem to know what that word means. You see it a LOT in the furry fandom. I usually see it in the form of constant rape jokes I keep hearing at just about every furry club in Second Life. I very rarely hear them when I go elsewhere.
I was going to work for one of those clubs, but I ended up quitting before I even did one shift because I couldn't even step into that place without someone outright promoting rape unfailingly every single time. I didn't feel like I should have to put up with that, so I left and never came back.
At the places I work at now, I still hear it occasionally, but it's usually always just one person doing it over and over, and everyone else seems to ignore them, making me wonder if others felt as uncomfortable about it as I did.
It's not funny; it's pretty old actually, and kind of annoying, even when you ignore the offensive aspects about it. You're like the people who keep spouting old memes thinking it makes you hilarious. It's not, sorry. All it does is make people feel awkward.
People should just be more careful when throwing that word around. It can be triggering to people who were victims, it can make them feel ridiculed, and a victim could be anyone and you just don't know it.
It wouldn't kill you to put warning thumbnails on artwork that depicts rape here on FA, either. There are plenty of people who have no issue viewing porn of consensual sex, but find depictions of rape extremely upsetting. (me being one of those people)
Plus, I find it kind of ironic that some of the same people who celebrated FA banning cub porn would post artwork depicting the rape of an adult without any sort of warning. If you get disturbed by depictions of child rape, don't you think some people might also be disturbed by depictions of adult rape?
I'm not asking for everyone to be censored or anything, just for basic curtsey and human decency. I know those things might be difficult to find in the furry fandom, but still.

But a rape it's only a rape when the victims only don't like to be fucked, if they like to be a bitch like that, then isn't not rape, it's faggotry, that's all...
i don't like that word too...specially when is used like a joke
...and that's why a furry sometimes is called "furfag" *True story meme*
