Hey guys,
i'd really really really appreciate your comments and opinions on my suits.
i'm looking forward to make better suits in 2012 but would need comments on
what you guys like of my style and what you don't. What I could change and what
I should keep. Would really like to know what you think!
Thanks!!

Keep up the great work!
almost everyone i meet ask me who made my snow leopard, Blizz and i keep refuring them to you. Everyone loves him and had lots of fun with him so far
got no complaints about him so far except took me a few fittings to break him in so i could wear the head
tho i love Blizz, his whiskers came off almost as soon as i got him. maybe try to figur out a way for the whiskers to stay on better instead of falling out so easily
Heads: Your shaping is good, most of them look spot on for the species. Good examples of this are your red and black skunk and tiger. However, the foxes you did (Flory, Nilbog) border on kangaroo because of the long snouts and huge ears that taper at the bases. I think that because you're so familiar/comfortable with these critters, you're not using as many references as maybe you would a more unusual critter.
Most of the photos of these guys are from the front, but I have to say, I really love the side view on the tiger, it has such a beautiful smile. This gets a little lost in the front view on this suit and all your others- if you can find a way to make the expression "read" from all angles, it'll be all the better.
I notice an improvement on eye shapes from early 2011 to the tiger. Don't be afraid to play around with eye shapes too, and different expressions.
One thing I notice consistently is the teeth are small for the heads, and kind of floating in a sea of black. It's nice to have a little bit of a black edge in the mouth, but it's bordering on the line of "too much".
Hands and Feet: I really love the four-fingered paw pattern you used on the hyena, so cuuuute. :D The claws are nice and visible too, not lost in the fur. I think if you made a larger/chunkier pattern, it would be more proportional to the head size. On suits with gloves made from "DF" fur, the bulk of the fur makes it work, but on short-furred hands, it is apparent.
I like some of the feet you've made, like Sinister's and Nilbog- the multiple pile lengths is really nice on Nilbog by the way. On some earlier ones, like Fiory's, the toes look splayed and not as nicely paw-shaped as the others.
I like the pawpads on the skunk, but I know from experience that fleece and fur are EXTREMELY slippery on hardwood, tile, and concrete floors. I busted my ass a couple times trying on some I had made for myself. xD I would advise some nice raised grippy footpads from latex, silicon, or even rubber mats. It will provide traction and raise the fur off the floor so it doesn't get gross quite as fast.
Bodies: There aren't a lot of examples of bodies, but the ones I see look nice. :) Wolfox looks like it fits its owner really well, and the markings are symmetrical and everything. Something fun you could play around with is using different pile lengths for different parts of the body. It kind of breaks up the monotonous "wall of DF fur" look.
Finishing details: I don't like the thick black lines around your noses- they're very jarring. I don't like it when "big time" makers do it either. To hide the edge of the fur, you can just fold the edge of the fur under itself and then glue it down, it's really easy and more natural looking. If you want to get fancy, you can do some subtle shading around the area, looks great.
Your shaving your fur down short enough on the faces, a lot of people are too timid with the clippers. It looks like the trimming job could be cleaned up a little bit, like on the tiger's muzzle for instance, it's a little choppy looking (or is it just unbrushed?)
Nose covering could be a little bit neater- it's hard to stretch fleece over a complex foam shape, just keep working it until it's perfect, or near perfect. :D If you have to cut a dart or two, it's not the end of the world- fleece hides hand stitches very well.
Your work has improved in just the short time I've been watching you, and I hope you continue to learn and grow as an artist. ^^
Voila !
