Maybe I will be able to time a family visit with a Vancouver con one day :3 I'm in England, but my family live on Vancouver Island!

Not a bad drive for me (Portland here), but not sure if I'll have the time and/or money to go. Also, my mate doesn't have a passport yet which complicates things since I know he'll want to go...

Oregon does not have the "Enhanced Drivers License" type thing I take it. In WA its cheaper and easier and a lot faster than a Passport but can only be used for going in and out of Canada.

Being in Washington, I gotta get one of those ASAP. Cons in both Seattle AND Van BC now...

Yup. I got a Passport because of my last job since I lived in airport lounges for years and years - at least it seemed so - anyway, if you only plan to do the Canada thing, the EDL is the best way to go.

Will have to hit that one next year in Van if it makes a second year, so heres hoping.

Probably not since we don't share a border with Canada. Not many commuters going in and out of BC from here.

Neat. I wouldn't be able to make it in the next couple of years, but since I live in Alberta, the trip down there wouldn't be too lengthy sometime in the future. Hopefully the weather is nice, since this winter has been so easy on us so far I fear we're going to get hammered in the coming months.
