A friend of ours, who works with at a Berkley facility researching hyenas, informed us that they had their funding cut a few weeks ago. As such, they will begin euthanizing animals when the last of the funds have dried up. Our friend and a few other people are currently racing against the clock to move the remaining twenty animals to zoos or sanctuaries (three will be going to the Oakland zoo later this week.) They are taking donations to keep the hyenas fed until all of them can find homes.
