Anyone else crossing their fingers for these acts to fail?

Although it won't effect my country I am hoping muchly that they will fail, I'm not quiet sure of the backstory and even less clear about the whole " evil corporations backing the politicians etc" but I do know that it is giving unjust and unlimited power to some of the wrong people. amirite?
