The Language Barrier of the Internet.

Warning! there are words below this line!
I am really concerned about how people understand me over the internet. I try and comment on submissions, because I'm a watcher, and very, very cheap, so if I can't support by commissions I try and support via comments. (I hear some artists like those! I know they don't pay the bills, but it's the best way I can show interest.)
But it scares me, a little, to make comments. Because I really just don't want to annoy people or waste their time, and for some reason that fear is magnified on the internets.
To top it all off, I love subtle, understated humour. It's a recipe for disaster.

Wow we're kinda like polar opposites. I don't really care that much about getting on ppl's nerves. I try my best to be friendly but if I some how end up annoying someone all I can do is apologize and move on. Don't worry so much about offending someone. They'll get over it and if they don't who cares? *shrugs* Chances are if they're that sensitive they don't need to be on the internet in the first place. (lol guess I'm a bit of a jerk) Btw, I LOVE THAT KIND OF HUMOR!

OP
Honestly the reason I don't like accidentally offending someone isn't that I have to apologize. It's that I have to then spend even MORE time explaining what I actually meant, because I wasn't clear in my meaning the first time.

That can be a pain.

Especially when you have to keep explaining....
