ACTA (Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement) - An international agreement to combat infringements of intellectual property. Negotiated in secret, was revealed by Wikileaks in 2008, before the vote in the European Parliament. Full version available in 2010. Public response was huge and came to an end after its fifth negotiation round. The first negotiations began: U.S., EU, Japan, and Switzerland.
Although negotiations for this treaty is completed, further attempts will come censor the Internet (such as sopa in the U.S.) and limits our access to the products necessary to life (try to control markets, herbs, vitamins and supplements).
