Update - New Apartment Aquired!
(lol, copy-paste from Tumblr)
Woot, so yeah, finally (mostly) settled into the new apartment. Internet is all set up, so no more leeching off of the neighbors (who we've yet to actually seeā¦)
Finally have furniture too! We went to Ikea, which I had never been to before. Really interesting place. Some of the stuff was awesome cheap (and cheaply made) but other stuff seemed stupid-expensive.
Still waiting for my desk-chair though. Come-on UPS, stupid being stupid and deliver it already! *shakes fist*
It should figure, that a week after getting here is snows a lot (for Seattle, more like a minor annoyance to me). Of course no one in city seems to have the tools or logic to deal with snow, so none of it has been plowed or even shoveled. Which super-sucks because it rained today and now all that snow has become wet-heavy slush, which is ten-times more annoying. >_>
Derp derp. So yeah, trying to get back into super-productivity. I'm still in the process of looking for a job to pay rent, but like most job-hunting it is a slow and agonizing process. So for now freelance and commissions are my only source of income. I'll post an updated commission-info thing here later. Commissions I have queued are top-priority and will be updated regularly.
So, transition to the big city is complete. It's still feels really different (and I will not deny I am a bit homesick). Lack of a car is kind of an inconvenience (especially when a lot of the better stores are so far out), but I'm working on ways to get around it (Lol, city buses are amusing).
Next order of business is to figure out how to get a nice size fishtank or two home on the bus. (for fish and possibly ball-python <3 )
