I think the ones leaving don't know the entire story and are just listening to the rumors


The situation isn't as bad as the ones leaving are making it out to be


I am staying right here as are the majority of the ones Im watching

It's just the usual thing, drama and rumors going around

The people leaving don't understand this happened awhile ago and are basically jumping ship cause lack of facts and shiney things are attractive, i hope they understand every site has drama.

Its being a bit blown up but at the same time I can understand people's worries. Personally I'm going to stay and watch and if things get bad I'm gonna go elsewhere, but I still plan to be on Weasyl for now as well as enough people have moved.

The administration is banning anyone who discusses it and deleting comments and journals.

Well, it's a bit more than just people being fed up. The issue is a serious one, make no mistake about that. and administration, is (again) turning a blind eye to the actions of it's staff. Dragoneer in particular has made it clear that his stance is one of "shut up, go away."

This isn't the first time drama has cropped up in this community and it won't be the last, but for my part, and the part of others, FA has lost it's value as a wholesome community. I'm leaving, not quickly, but I'm leaving. I'll try to dig up a link that that gives you a more in-depth rundown of the situation at hand.

I'm kind of on the fence where, while I'm not emotionally invested in FA or the community, so some events (while don't sit well with me) I have no firsthand knowledge of. However I do get -a lot- of commissions here and I dunno if I want to leave such a large following just yet. I'll just play it by ear for now.

I'm not going to leave entirely until I feel I can get more commissions outside of FA, but I don't want to be a part of the FA community when the staff has become so famous for fumbling these kinds of situations.

From my understanding: they hired a known sexual predator named Zaush onto staff. A different staff member, Dragoneer, originally reacted to a woman who reported with something that honestly boils down to "well you can go public with what happened, but it'll hurt your reputation and nobody will believe you".

Then they started recently banning and hiding the comments of people who posted "oh my god, what are you doing?" reactions to the hiring.

There's more logs out there, but I'm honestly just logging back in to add a redirect to my Weasyl in my account because I'm not comfortable with an administration that treats reports like this so lightly when they're about a friend of the administrator. Dragoneer actually says "And this has happened to a lot of people" regarding the complaint.

They're getting multiple similar independent complaints from people about sexual misconduct from Zaush and not only not doing anything about it, but hiring him on as staff?

Imo everyone should be aware what sort of people are getting their ad revenue, even if they choose to stay for whatever reason (I know FA's a main source of income for some users). I'm out of here on a jetpack fuelled with pure nope, though.

I can tell you that I sit in a neutral position all the way, and if you have not been sucked in to it all far enough to form an opinion, rest assured, it is a bunch of she said he said accusation and defense CRUD. There is no foundation to any of it. My choice, even knowing what all the drama is about, is to stay right where I am. Yes I have account on other sites, but FA is my main one.
