I'm pretty sure he hasn't changed at all. He's just hibernating. As soon as it's actually spring (hard to tell when that will happen with this absurdly mild winter in the midwest at least) he'll come out to play with all the hapless animals and humans that forgot about him. He'll be hungry for flesh again too. I wonder if he brought any 'toys' with him to his secret hibernation spot?
