Anonymous Takes Out CBS.com and Universal Music
13 years ago
The two sites were taken offline this morning along with Vivendi, the owner of Universal Music, by Anonymous as a demonstration for support for Megaupload’s reinstatement. The hacktivist group has released a video of their latest exploit named OpGlobalBlockout that will, once it is initiated, will take down some of the most important sites on the Internet including the United Nations, Facebook, YouTube, Capital One and several other international concerns. The condition to halt the attacks is the full reinstatement of the Megaupload web site. Personally, I doubt the governments are going to let go of Megaupload.
'course... try tellin' that to the average person. 9.9
Whoever starts attacks like these on targets like those can only be a supporter of piracy. I doubt that Anonymous has anything to do with it. As far as I got, Anonymous supports high goals like free speech and liberty, not those low crap like piracy or theft. I guess anonymous is going to take out those imposters soon.
