I don't know really.. I have close connections in the 'underground' and so far they haven't said anything yet. Anon doesn't have a leader so this could be just another group in another part of the country or something. We'll see what happens.

I tell ya somethin'... If they take down Facebook, nothin' of value would be lost. :P But really, just what would they accomplish by takin' down the UN website? Or hell, even YouTube? It's never permanent and there's ways around stuff like that besides. :B Honestly, there ain't nothin' Anon can do what would make a serious impact on anything.

Honestly? this is going to get messy very fast. If anything this would only give the government an excuse to crack down even harder and possibly with extreme force. Such a battle is only going to go back and forth in a never ending cycle until one of them decides to take extreme measures to resolve the situation. I really don't see this ending well because I very highly doubt the government is going to take that seriously regardless of if it's real or not. It only gives them more excuses to push laws like PIPA and SOPA.

Another thing. Isn't a blackout of information exactly what the government wants? Wouldn't an attack like this be playing right into their hands? Then they'd get to blame it on anon and label them all as terrorists. Then what do they achieve other than angering all the citizens caught inbetween?

This is becoming something worse then I imagined. This is going to start war. God save us all.

I fear that soon the rights of the people will soon be gone and the government will have power to stop anyone they see as a threat. We, as a country, are doomed.

You can see pretty much about the targets "Youtube", "Facebook" who I think they oppose SOPA and PIPA, and the fact megaupload had been closed for piracy and is unrelated to SOPA and PIPA, it just happened at the "wrong time", that it's unlikely the attackers are the group Anonymous.

Whoever starts attacks like these on targets like those can only be a supporter of piracy. I doubt that Anonymous has anything to do with it. As far as I got, Anonymous supports high goals like free speech and liberty, not those low crap like piracy or theft. I guess anonymous is going to take out those imposters soon.

What are they about? i mean seriously are they good or bad?
