Question for your own mind

Dear artists,
I'm Seriously asking you all in a rhetorical question. (No need to answer)
Which is more important to you? Greens(Comissions) or Goodwill Values(Art Trades)?
For those who would have questions why I'm asking it: You know the answer, just keep it to yourself when you figure it out.
Godspeed.

Not that I art.
I have every bit of gift art ever given to me, even the stick figures (from people who told me they can't draw)!
And if people pay money for your art, that's free advertising out there to bring in more commissions.
so goodwill usually, but greens keeps me able to draw :3
That said, I'd choose the trades. I don't ever see myself as being able to support myself with art. So the dollar value doesn't amount much to me. Also I see trades as a better way to get art for someone. Not often do you well known and big artists get pieces for yourself, just money. Sure it pays the bills, but I'd feel a bit one sided after awhile. Plus I admit it is slightly selfish on my part as well. I am poor and will probably be stuck that way for as long as I'm in school, which will be awhile. So since I can't "pay" someone, I can still trade with them. Plus (ignoring my artistic inferiority complex here) I'd feel like it means more to give someone else you put your own work into for them specifically, rather than to just hand them money.
A napi betevő falatra meg ott van a rendes munkám, művészetből úgy se lehet megélni hacsak nem vagy egy Picasso (vagy idehaza, ha nincs rakás műkritikus ismerősöd akik felértékelnek újgazdag körökben).
