For what purpose are they in scraps?

It's just the way I separate the stuff I sketch/draw, from the stuff others have allowed me to post of their works here. So the 'gallery' would be my gallery (if I put stuff in it again some day), and 'scraps' is a separate folder for some special artwork from others that I love ^v^ .

note: Something seemes to have changed in the code here (Summer of 2020) where the Featured Submission doesn't work the same as it used to, because my Featured Submission was in my Scraps folder all these years (and still is) but it no longer shows up on the main page. So it looks like it might have to be in the main Gallery now. I'll check for a few days and if it doesn't reappear on the main user page, I guess I'll try moving it to the main Gallery.
