You also got to realize, that some artist decide to increase the prices of there commissions.
I know the economy is bad, but you lose alot of customers that way, not that I'm complaining. :P

Also I want to commission the big name artist, but I can only go for the cheap ones! :P

This is true, but they don't seem to ever stop drawing, you just see more of the same characters, becuase of there growing limited base of people to buy from them.

I have no problems spending good money on good art, I'd rather have a small gallery filled with high quality, full color pieces, than a 3 page gallery with a bunch of half ass sketches. Not that there is anything wrong with those who get those.

I know I have expensive tastes and it's a sad fact I've come to terms with, but when I -am- able to buy art, I am almost always very happy with the result. Most of the time, you get what you pay for, as they say.

What sucks though, is it means I am not always able to buy art as often as the chance comes up.

I know how you feel. I'd like to get more adult pieces done of my fox, too. On some level I just find it hard to justify the cost of a decent commission, too. It's what makes me more hesitant about spending the money on them.

i been lucky to have had money when some of my fave artists have opened but i knoe how you feel my friend, i hope you get more art soon.
