Actually, there were two references to Island of Dr. Moreau FC-wise.

One, the convention put posters up referencing the movie because of the theme of FC2012 "The infurmary".

Second, there was a "Dr. Moreau" themed "room party" on Thursday evening. No "house of pain" this (grins), just a bunch of people sitting around, drinking and talking (I've got pictures if you're interested).

Im kinda sorry I missed that party myself. FC wss wierd for me this year. I had fun, but I felt like I missed out on a lot.

I think a lot of the problem was the poor signage at FC this year. I didn't even know where the computer lab was until Saturday. Plus, the hotels being split up with the convention center in between as a gaping canyon just made the whole thing feel very disconnected to me.
