So right now my grades are really good right? Not perfect, but they are pretty up there, 3.9 GPA. However my local county college does not offer an animation associates degree. There is one that does and i need to do tons of paperwork to get in county prices but I can. However, people are telling me to go to this well known apparently good art college that is much more expensive but I can get out with a Bachelor's Degree in computer animation.
I want to go to the other county college with the animation degree because I have heard good things about it from a friend on this site and I was hoping to meet him there one day. However I have already wasted two years at my current county college doing basic graphic design classes and prerequisites; maybe I should go directly for the art college instead of getting my associates first...
Then again to get into the program I want to take in the fancy art college I require an associates degree anyway, but I think I could get one from there too. But it will be anything but cheap.
But some people are telling me that I should do it anyway and then apply for addition financial aid via scholarships and other grants since my grades are pretty decent.
So yeah, this is what has been wracking my tiny little brain. I swear I am about to go googly eyed @____@
I dunno what to doooooooo
Really I should count myself lucky since i can even get financial aid, some people cant because their grades are too low and stuff actually no screw them i worked hard for those grades ya jerks i aint lucky i worked hard for those grants! and its not like i spend the grant money on frivolous things most of it goes into tuition and books and my computer. all things i use for my classes or in my ar work so ha! i have no idea what i'm even talking about anymooooooore TTATT

No matter! I've taught myself most everything I know pertaining to art; being able to hone my skills on my own is something I never would have thought possible. Hopefully, I will be able to secure another job in a timely manner, then I'll be able to make my next move.
As for you and your situation, I have utmost confidence in your abilities; I know you'll get where you want to be, though you may have to take a few detours. (I know I will have to...) You have my utmost support.
i realize now that the last bit of my rant is a little insensitive
sorry about that
good luck on your studies and art career =3
and with finding new employment too
My older brother, when he went to the U of MN (Minneapolis), neglected two of the prereqs for his degree, and wond up paying about $400 more for *each* of them because he was paying for senior-level credits, instead of freshman or sophomore. (Though, having gone to a community and technical college, I'm not quite sure what those mean. ^^; )
Also, find out what additional things you'd be paying for at the more expensive college. For example, one of the colleges I went to charged a fee for the computer lab, which I rarely ever used due to having my own system at home. If you're doing room and board as part of your tuition, are the prices different? Why? Are you getting the same services? How do the teachers rate, compared to each other? Have the teachers had complaints about them? (We had a new teacher for design that was very rude, and so biased she wound up called before the head staff; I understand she litterally said "What is the meaning of this? I don't have time for this!" Uhhh... Yeah. <_<;;; )
Anyway, my two cents. Hope I didn't make you more dizzy! *hugs*
