What "God" means to me.

I believe in some sort of higher power. I believe (and I'm going to say "he" to make my life easier) that "God" has no form. He isn't a man who lives in the clouds. There is no heaven or hell. God is different for everyone. God is an entity we can choose to let in or keep out, or live with us in the dark. You can pray and ask things from him, but God does not help you or bring harm to you. God does not judge you and set out rules and limits for which you have to live your life by. God is always accepting and always loving until you give him a reason to doubt you. Those reasons aren't "stealing because your starving" or "being gay" or "getting angry, lustful, or tired" or "committing suicide" or "saying FUCK". Those reasons are serious, like committing mass murder, or committing an act that brings upon mass harm to others. Even then, God can forgive you, because you always have a second chance. You always have an opportunity for redemption. And in the end, if you have brought true happiness to others in your life, and committed selfless acts. Not that I'm supporting theft, but you can still steal and be a good person. I've stolen before. Hell the ring I'm wearing is stolen. I was not going to pay $8 for something someone at the flea market got for $0.25. But my point is, I didn't hurt anyone, and I make people happy and care for my fellow humans. I am not a rotten person down to the core because I stole a $0.25 ring. Now if you break into Best Buy and steal a 70" cause your old 10" box TV broke......that's a different story....
I also believe that "stealing" is a taboo created by our human culture and NOT God....but....*shrugs* moving on.
If you make a genuine effort to be good in life, you will be rewarded with whatever your heart desires. Your afterlife will be like a never ending dream that surrounds you in whatever you want.
And if you wish to stay on Earth, and watch over your children or something to that extent, then that is possible to. You can be a ghost, and be well aware of it. You can rest and be at peace while remaining with the ones you love, until it is there time.
However, if you are selfish, and only care for yourself, and make no conscious effort to support humanity or living creatures. If you kill for personal gain, if you LIVE for personal gain, you are not sent to some land full of fire with a man with horns and red skin. No, you never leave earth, and you are completely unaware you are dead. You are locked in a terrible emotional state, and there IS no rest for you. You are doomed to walk the earth as a ghost, and continuously face rejection from the people you torment with no help, no love, no acknowledgement, and no rest.
That's the BASIC concept of it anyway.
