I'm not at AC but from my experience leopards and jaguar girls are quite popular.
And dragons are always good, especially feral and spiritual pictures with a link to nature seem
to sell very good.

I have to agree with Andraste's comments and add snow leopard, cheetah and cougar girls.

and foxes of the less often pictured varieties, occassional tribal wolves... and tribal otters, I think.
also, exotic hoofed and/or horned species. I think they always catch someone's eye.

I'm not sure, I usually look what's to my liking rather than try to find out which species and topics appear popular. it changes from con to con, anyway. :)

My suggestions are wolves, deer, horses (both wild and domisticated), coyotes, caibou, tigers and civets.

Well gosh you know I love raptors :3 I'd love to see your take on an anthro gryphon, actually!

And by that I mean, I think your style would lend itself well to gryphons, and would be successful in the art show!

Like mentioned before I've seen several snow leopard paintings being sold for good prices at EF last year.
But there is a factor which is way more important than just the species and degree of anthropomorphism.
It's the emotion and thought you capture in your painting. The character is not (necessarily) the crux of a painting,
but a mean of shaping an emotion/thought.

This wonderful piece by PanHesekielShiroi made over 1000€ in the art auction at EF and that's not because it's super detailed/realistic/flamboyant.

So my suggestion to you is to look deep inside yourself, if theres a feeling or maybe an unfinished thought that wants to come out and be visualized, because that's the inspiration from which artistical gold is made.
Of course it's good when artists get inspirations from their fans, but I find it a bit sad, when they solely base their art on what people expect to see from them. I'm sure that's something you'll never do. :)

Yes of course! :) However, I like getting feedback on peoples experiences. I find these little theme/species suggestions fun...cuz at the same time it gets my brain going and I start thinking of neat idears. Its good to have a pool of ideas incase I run out of any for a piece (I would like to fill 6 pannels this year,lol so i need quite a few!).

Well, I'm the biggest fan of felines, all kinds of felines. And you do them so wonderfully! I think those are always popular, exotic animals sound like more fun, but I have my doubts they'll be as popular.

This may by the point to tell you about a crazy idea I had: My Diantha (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/2942882/) and your Desdemona (female form) sitting in front of some bistro, drinking tea and chatting about who knows what. If only I had them money to commission (this is not supposed to to be a request or anything, just wanted to tell you that I had this strange image quite vividly in my mind suddenly).
