I'm so excited tonight as my model I ordered from Hong Kong arrived today. I ordered the Gundam Kyrios 1/100 scale model from the Gundam 00 series. The instructions are in Japanese but im sure I will cope by looking at the diagrams. Its probably gonna take awhile to build but its worth it as I love this kind of stuff (geek)

Also I'm excited as yesterday I found a Japanese anime from the same people responsible for Robotech (Macross). Its called Genesis of Aquarion (Sousei no Aquarion) looks nice so will watch that after im done building my model ^_^'

well, im off to space again... :3

I tried the whole model thing before... I think is was a Macross model. That didn't go so well. Way too much patience involved, just to put it together, plus the detailing? Ugh! Anyway, you should post a pic so we can see how it comes out.

At the moment no 00 units have achived MG status yet. Kyrios only comes in 1/144 FG, 1/144 HG, and 1/100 (no grade).

LOL. Oh they're real. It's just that when a new series is out they always come out with a basic 1/100. They're big as MGs but nowhere near as detailed, but more detailed than a HG. It's been like that for Seed, Destiny, Turn A, X, Wing, and G. Not sure if they did it during the later produced UC series.

The only big robot animes I watched/read a manga of was Neon Genesis Evangelion (prefer the manga, Shinji is too much of a crybaby-emo-whiny-bitch in the anime) and Gundam Wing, for the characters and damn awesome mecha design.

I still prefer Western walker fiction. More plausible.

Some say 00 is like an updated Wing like how Seed and Seed Destiny were (not as well done as 00) an update to First Gundam and Zeta.

You dig giant robots. I dig giant robots. Chicks dig giant robots... Sorry, couldn't resist. Giant robots rule, the typical angsty teenage who ride in them, not so much. But giant robots rule. I fondly believe everything could be better with giant robots, just think of how interesting oh I dont know, McBeth would be if everyone had giant robots... Come to think of it that would be a great anime, McBeth with a sci-fi giant robot twist, that would rule.

If you have any trouble putting it together....give it to a 7-year-old kid. They're genetically predisposed to be able to do that........sort of like how my parents couldn't figure out Transformers but I had absolutely no trouble figuring them out.

My toughest Gundam model was a 1/60 scale Gouf with 15 LEDs. I had a dilly of a time figuring out what wires and diodes went where and even then the backpack wouldn't light up. I think I just crossed some wires.

I think my collection has exceeded 50 models. I lost count some time ago. Working on a Crossbone Gundam Ver.Ka right not.

Gundam models are fun. I've got an HG (High Grade) 1/100 scale Wing Zero sitting on a shelf, an unvinished ('cause the backpack won't stay on) HG 1/144 Wing Zero Custom in its box, an HG 1/144 GP01Fb, and the remains of SG (Standard Grade) 1/144 Wing Gundam, Wing Zero, Deathscythe, Heavyarms, and Epyon models.

A friend of mine has the Perfect Grade 1/60 scale Wing Zero Custom. That thing is ginormous.

At first you will think, that Sousei no Aquarion is a kind of rip off from NGE (Neon Genesis Evangelion). It has alot of similarities, but it's build up on alot more humor basis. It's a nice series, if you like a mix of topics with angels, NGE and giant robots. ^^ Enjoy.

hehe...yeah the Japanese dont usually skip on the diagrams, considering alot of their stuff finds their way to English-speakers...if its anything like the Beretta airsoft gun i had to assemble, you'll be done in under and hour =)

was mostly a macross/robotech fan (gundam never ever came to my country >_<) but what ive seen, its cool (except for the annoying kids that fly them :P macross at least had a more mature feel to it :3

heheh, I picked up a few gundam models for X-Mas; 1/100 scale as well X3 www.gundamstoreandmore.com is where I got them fron; EXCELLENT prices. If I can get enough cash to fund my Tau army (Warhammer 40,000) and have some leftover, I might go Master Grade X3 if I photograph my gundams, I'll be sur eto send them your way =3

P.S.: It's nice to finally start seeing more sci-fi furs around here XP

the toy for that robot looked kick-ass..i saw a gallery of it a while back...also...here's hoping that the new Macross series that's being worked on is better than Macross 7 was...:/
