THERE WAS SO MUCH OF IT YESTERDAY.

I was up birmingham with friends, decided to go home cus he couldnt get in the pub so we ended up waiting for the train - which at the last minute was cancelled - so we walked to the bus stop and waited in blizzard status worthy snow in our thin Varsity jackets and hoodies, the bus DIDNT SHOW UP ( this is at half eleven ) so we were stranded, were gonna get a taxi, and AT THE LAST FUCKING SECOND the bus showed up (where we met two VERY drunk girls on the bus who nicknamed me big ears and said "oh i love you" a lot), and THEN i had to walk home with snow HALFWAY UP MY CUNTING SHIN with GRIPLESS CONVERSE SHOES with a piping hot pizza in my hands!

IN my fictional city of Ashville, it's the snowiest city in the US so during Winter it's not unusual for people to be walking around with flamethrowers and ordinary shops like bookstores or flower shops will be selling naphtha cartridges

Not necessarily, there's bad parts of Ashville which are as run down and horrible, chocking with crime and stuff. Not sure where to put that, definetly not South Ashville since that's the industrial heartland, East Ashville would be uncomfortably close to the nuclear power station and North Ashville's where the university is.

West Ashville's facing lake Champlain, and is baiscally the city centre. Maybe it'll be more like isolated pockets of the city scattered throughout or something

It's not illegal, and technically it's not deceptive marketing. Forgive me for this, but from a business point of view it's genius. It's customer loyalty at it's best, and since it's not a physical dependency like heroin but a psychological one like video games or the internet it's perfectly legal

It's not just a stock term, the NASDAQ is a whole stock market. You know how New York has the New York Stock Exchange, and London has the London Stock Exchange? Well, the NASDAQ is New York's #2 Stock Market (think how London has 3 big airports. The biggest Heathrow, the #2 Gatwick and the #3 Stanstead), but dedicated specifically for technology companies. So Google, Amazon and Yahoo all list themselves on the NASDAQ, and not the NYSE.

The NYSE is the "normal" stock market where the older, big "traditional" companies like Chevron Corp, Lockheed Martin, Bank of America and most non-technology companies list themselves. Some older technology companies like IBM list themselves on both the NASDAQ and NYSE

Because its aliens. I for one loved it, what the audience seemed to forget is that Indiana Jones films were always sci fi fantasy, so the idea of pan-dimensional beings kinda fits with it - spwcially concerning Aztec temples. XD

Although Im not sure that they had Dot Matrix digital readouts in the fifties, or that hiding in a lead lined fridge would save you from an Atomic Blast. XD

Plus also it fits the period. The 3 Indy ills were set in the 30s, and Evil Nazis was the big thing at the time. The fourth Indy film was set in the 50s, when B-grade sci-fi movies were the big thing. As for the enemies, who was America's biggest enemy during the 50s? Communists.

But yeah, the nuclear fridge part was a bit unrealistic. Still, it was really cool :D

I think it would've been more realistic if Indy actually ran into the basement and the heavy steel door read "Nuclear Bomb Shelter." Some houses in the 50s did actually have those as their basements and you actually can survive a nuclear explosion in a basement if the floor above you is thick enough

It was a test town though. However surely they would have put one in there just to test it out. Although it probably would have been locked...
