I break things by accident

Commissions are currently OPEN! See below for more information.
Don't wait for the queue to shrink—the commission docket is rarely empty.
;_; I seriously just spent my fourth all-nighter in a row trying to figure out how I managed to already wreck a week-old fresh Windows 7 install. I swear to God, I'm a virtual klutz.
To be fair, I've had this laptop for 3 years less time than I had the PC I put together before it, and that thing never, ever gave me shit. In fact, I never had to reinstall Windows XP on that sucker. I'm starting to miss it. This laptop needs to GDIAF.
I have had a slow streak lately, but the past week and a half have been plagued by consistent problems arising from my apparent inability to properly install drivers. Combine that with my desperate bid for organization and you have a clumsy girl who's so busy being productive that she never gets anything done (and also tends to break the shit she's already fixed).
After day 4 I seem to have things under control again. With any luck, after I wake up it'll finally be time to put a dent in my commission docket again. I hope so; I'm tired of staring at dismal reliability reports and spammy event viewer errors.
On the plus side, I ditched expensive facial cleansers in favor of a warm washcloth and a dab of baking soda, and my skin finally, finally looks amazing (three days later). If only I'd figured this out half a grand ago. I guess that's what happens when you never have a grandma around. (Nobody's fault, just the facts! Don't take your grandma for granted.)

also i had never heard of using a warm washcloth and baking soda :o i should try it sometime x3
One of my friends, i broke her casset tape to headphone jack converter by accident.
First boyfriend i accidently broke a bottle of blue nail polish in his bathroom and it got everywhere on me and everything, i had to wait until the next day to get nail polish remover. I also managed to destroy the paint on one of his side tables beside the couch as i had no idea it was painted and not plastic, got nail polish remover on it.
last ex i got blood on his carpet from cutting my toe on an old computer case, as well as black nail polish on the white carpet - lol......
TL;DR I break shit. -_-
Hope you are doing well, btw. Haven't chatted with ya in a while.
If it's the same I have I might try it
He also encourages me to be a game tester haha
@___@ I don't know enough about computers to fix errors like that.
Also I'm interested in the baking soda thing. I have a friend that has super sensitive skin and a lot of cleaners are too harsh for them.
That or they are allergic to an ingredient in the product. ):
Would it be possible to share your grandma's secret?
This half a week after my attempts to remove a belt end-weight from my Russian-manufactured viking belt reproduction resulted in first getting a nail clipper's nail cleaning blade stabbed under my nail, a knife cut into my left index finger that opened up the next day on the edge of a cardboard box, and a broken belt end-weight.
(You're not the only one who breaks stuff.)
Truthfully, i like linux the most for it's command line and server like abilities, as an end user OS it lacks a good bit of support for programs(especially as i said, for art) it might do you more good to look into a hack'n'tosh if you are truly fed up with windows http://www.hackintosh.com/ that being said, most of those guides require you at least purchase the mac install disk, which is several hundred dollars if memory servers me well.
all in all, before even really looking at switching your OS i'd probably look at your most used/favorite programs and see if mac or linux even has alternatives for them. I don't miss windows now, but i've been on linux and mac machines for nearly 4 years solid now, when i started there was a lot of things that i just didn't have an alternative software solution for.
words words words...point being, that switching OS isn't as hard as you might think, getting things done in the new OS, however, can be a bit more challenging. if you read lifehacker regularly then you've likely already seen this, but if not it may help you to see what alternatives there are for ceratin things on the other OSs and it also leaves a good place for you to leave pointed questions http://lifehacker.com/appdirectory
I appreciate your taking the time to explain it. Do you think I should consider instead trying to set up Linux on a virtual machine instead of trying to replace my OS altogether? I do use a LOT of weird, special software, so I know I couldn't abandon Windows altogether -- not for another few years, anyway. ;3 Linux users do seem to always have a good alternative to some small thing here or there that I never do on Windows, so I'm not THAT worried. But I think, just for the sake of not jumping in with both feet, I could consider either dual-boxing or setting Linux up in a virtualized environment -- note that these two things are things I have read all about but never even come CLOSE to doing, so I'd need to read up on it first. A lot.
As an alternative, you mentioned having an old machine, you might try booting that up with linux to see if you like it without having to change anything on your primary till you are ready.
