Well, it may not be Apple Pie season. But that's what I made today. Pretty good if not a little tart... Which has me wondering,
What do you all make on cold winter days? Share your favorite pie, pastry, soup, or whatver recipe for cold days. What makes you cozy and happy?

2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
2/3 cup shortening
6 to 7 tablespoons cold water
flour salt. Cut in shortening till the size of peas, sprinkle in water a table spoon at a time, toss with fork and puh to side of bowl, repeat till all is moist. Devide Dough in half. Half for bottom hlaf to top. Roll out and prep pan, set one hald in pan. Add filling, cover with other half, pinch sides together.
Filling: 6 cups medium/thin sliced granny smith apples.
A table spoon or two flour half cup of sugar, table spoon or so of cinn. Just make it to your taste.
In fact, there's a heck of recipe I found online that I've been saving, just for this occasion :P
