Film Discussion: Toy Story 3

The animation was amazing, per Pixar standards. So was the voice acting. The story was more meh, however, really banking on people's nostalgia glasses even more than trying to establish a new franchise to make everyone lots of money like Cars and Cars 2 did.
So 7/10

this movie was a punch in the gut. i totally agree that it was sorta trying to make you remember all the memorable scenes from the first two, it still had heart and originality. the main tear-jerker (leaving for college and saying goodbye to those you love the most) worked quite well, but not as good as the artist. i don't think i have ever sobbed in a theater before, and that movie did it for me.

this movie seemed to be aimed at more at the late teen and early 20's audience than most kid movies tend to be. because this movie really seems to be almost completely for the kids that watched the first two and then grew up. The kid growing up and going to collage was the biggest reference to the audience but also just the problem of the toys trying to figure out what to do whit them selves. They really did rely on the nostalgia glasses but at least they knew they where doing it and mad it an important part of the story.
