A true classic series.

So yesterday I was out checking out a new PC and Console video game store that opened. I went there to price check Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity compared to Wal-Mart when I saw something incredible. Sitting right there on the PC shelf, sandwiched between Crysis and The Orange Box was something that almost brought me to tears from joy. The King's Quest Collection. That's right, Sierra's biggest hit adventure series before they got bought out. And I'm talking the proper King's Quest games. Mask of Eternity can kiss my ass. If anyone doesn't know what the King's Quest series is, shame on you...SHAME! Turn off your World of Warcraft and whatever FPS action game you are playing and try these games out. They're from back when playing a game required a functional brain. I wouldn't call them educational, but they are bordering on intellectual. Take for instance this one puzzle from the first game. There is a gnome spinning straw into gold and he wants you to guess his name. Say it right and you get what you need to progress, get it wrong and you still continue, but you get the crap ending. His name is not what you think. No clues at all, you have to figure out that his name is Rumplestiltskin backwards, using a backwards alphabet. Reverse the name, then take the actual alphabet and reverse it, then rewrite his name. Meh, whatever. Seriously, go get these games and play them as soon as possible. They are the greatest adventure games there are. Story wise, I would say start with the first one, but if you want to settle in slowly to the game type, start with number Six or Seven. But I tell yeah, I was so happy when I brought this home that I almost went to sleep holding the box. Now go get the game series, play it, enjoy it. And if you don't like the series, well I'll just have to cut out your eyes because you don't know a good game when you see it. ^_^
