I would just ask hm what his fav animal is or what animal he would like on the badge. My mother in law went to MFM with us one year and she was a non-fur, decided she wanted a cow on her badge.

I've asked and he always kinda ducks the question.

I honestly wonder if he wants to be a furry, but doesn't want to admit it. He's always been asking questions about the fandom in a sorta curious way, so I figured I'd invite him to play board games at the con so he could go.

Don't have to have a badge at all. Just the standard admission badge is all some people wear.

True, but I find that badge helps answer the standard questions such as "who are you?" and "What species are you?" that people are naturally curious about.

I'd just get an artist to do a comic book version of myself and use that. Actually...I have inspired a few comic characters ....I should totally do this as an alt badge for a con.
