I have a friend i have known my entire life. She's a really good friend of my parents and they work together in a small business they started. She's about 15 years older than me but as we all know age doesn't matter. She has a form of cancer called small cell carcinoma. It went into remission a few years ago and everything was going great until christmas 2010. Doctors found a spot on her liver. They tried radiation.... didn't work. Then they tried chemo. they stopped chemo a few months ago. I got a call a few days ago from my Mom, saying that they were sending her home from the hospital. I was excited and asked how Our friend was doing.... I was severely premature in my celebration. They aren't sending her home because she is better. A few weeks ago, they did some scans. The cancer had made it's way into her bone marrow. From there it went to her lungs. As of last week her speech was being affected. It got to her brain......

They are giving her 2 weeks....2.....weeks.

I don't know why i'm writing this... I feel completely and utterly alone. I'm working all the time and tonight i was going to get to drive the 2 hours to see her after i got off at 7. Then my managers decided that my shift wasn't right on the posted schedule (i was supposed to be working until 10) and they proceeded to tell me the computer schedule is the official schedule. BTW, the only people who see the computer schedule are the managers. So i'm upset. This is probably my last chance to see her. Who knows.... they've brought in hospice. This is bad... so bad.
