i received a call from my aunt at about 3:20 pm today saying that he had passed away from lung cancer. i'm not sure what else to say...

I was the only one not to see my grandfather on his death bed (I couldn't travel out of state, I had to take care of the pets and take midterms), and I didn't see him for over 5 months before that. It feels awful knowing I couldn't see him one more time.
