I'm not sure I'd ever be able to `kick the habit`. I'm not particularly `great` at roleplay, but I really enjoy it a lot. Adds a level of interaction with people you just can't get otherwise sometimes due to distance and whatnot. :>
I think you are quite good at it. But yes it can take time. Just gotta look for people that don't mind if you need to take care of IRLthings int he middle of stuff etc. It's always handy that... not everyone can dedicate 5 hours of time in a sitting for E-sex,etc. But if you can find people that don't mind delays or postpones it might be better for you!
[Insert rant about the difference between RP and eRP, and how sexual RP should be referenced as cyber, eRP, or textfuck, so that people who want to legit RP don't get confused with the people who want to whack off to a efuck.]
[Also insert some flirting about Twile and Tae bumping uglies.]
[Insert rant about how RPers who are after story more than character exploration with or without sex should reference what they want as "(clean) story RP" because they're the ones who want to make finer distinction for their own convenience]
Only stop if you don't like it or it gets too annoying. Believe me, you cannot be worse than some peeps I've had the pleasure to write with. Hell, take a look at some the material I've posted on my page and you'll see the failings I still have. It's all about finding the good ones and then finding the excuses to do it (and the time to do it in). I'm always available! ^v^
i always thought you were cute and enjoyable to rp with. i don't like it when there's some super-duper descriptions going on, just give enough to give the idea, but also enough were it's not 2 word replies. i HATE that. >_<
I like it though I'm a lot better at writing than drawing. It becomes stressful though when there's people out there who more or less 'demand' that you do it with them...and that's just silly :/ I don't do it as much as I used to though. Experience helps and it does take some effort to put together more than a line or two of text. I fall into typing the same kind of verbage a lot though which I personally hate
Heh, I understand how that goes. Interestingly, it helps my in my writing based classes (hint: ALL OF THEM) because 9 times out of 10, I really have to explore my vocabulary and tweak my grammar to make it work. But, just do what you like. Ya wanna stop, stop. You want to go onto hiatus, do that. Just do what's comfortable.
Yeah RP'ing is time consuming but it can always be fun and help pass the time, and even if you think you're awful at it, that doesn't mean you should stop. Maybe take a break if you wish so you can choose where to go from there or ask your friends if you're awful and where you should make changes. I've seen some bad RP'ing over the years so you can't be awful, even with all those testimonials above.
I love to RP (Mostly clean context things, unless you're certain individuals.), I do it because I think it helps me with my problem of being so ungodly shy, then again, I barely have many others to work on this with because of said shyness {Contradicting, no?}. And I do admit I know I need changes here and there in how I RP. (Mostly because there's times where I'll respond with one word which somehow integrated itself in how I RP, netting me the nickname from a few friends "The King of One Worded Answers")
If you're not having fun, you're not having fun. I've done RPs that just "happened" to be furry, and I've done RPs that hinged on being furry. Sometimes ya just need to figure out where your strengths are before making decisions to stop/continue
Yep. Everyone gets better with practice, if they put the effort into getting better. For me, grammar is a big thing....If you can't spell 'you' properly, and instead use 'u', I might end up trolling you. For example...
"How are u?"
"Who's U?"
"u."
"U who?"
And so on, so forth.
Besides that, if you enjoy it, then by all means, continue it. Though, depending on how long you've been doing it....you could be better, or worse, then the one you're attempting to roleplay with. Hey, it happens.

:3 It's that simple.
Though I guess it depends on what you're roleplaying >>;
Do you enjoy it? The only thing that matters.

[Insert cock?]this was a wonderful thing to read before bed, thanks for that
CLEAN RP IS THE RULE
I WILL NOT SAY "CLEAN RP" EVERY TIME I TALK ABOUT ROLEPLAYING
"CLEAN RP" SHOULD JUST BE RP >8(
I DON'T KNOW ANYONE ELSE WHO DEMANDS THIS DISTINCTION BE MADE
I WILL NOT SAY "TYPEFUCK" EVERY TIME I TALK ABOUT TYPEFUCKING
RAWRAWRAWR
SO FURIOUS
LETS HAVE IRONIC NON-IRONIC E-FUCKING RIGHT NOW
TAKE ME
"*[a good 3 or 4 sentence rp, maybe just two]*"
"murr *licks and humps*"
AAARRGH! >8 (

Saying that I used to fire batteries of paragraphs when I used to roleplay.
