Suck it up and be a man!

Why is it OK for women to act like/say you're not being manly enough when that type of behavior is considered chauvinistic when a man says you're not being womanly enough. Allow me to clarify. During the 40's women had to fight for the right to be acknowledged as human beings with basic inalienable rights and not treated as mere objects. After dealing with this turmoil why is it justifiable for a woman to act as such toward a man under the guise of taking responsibility, stepping up to the plate, grabbing the bull by the horns and to sum it up "Be a Man"? There is a reason they say "women are born, men are made". Alot of the human traits a woman is allowed to show and experience is beaten out of men because if we don't live up to the stoic, fearless, feel-no-pain, Warrior god type image were supposed to live up to, were treated as though we are a waste of genetics and should kill ourselves. There is a reason women have more "attempted" suicides and men have more "Completed" suicides. I think a member of what I believe to be the Hopi tribe named Starhawk said it best.
"The oppression of men in Father God-ruled patriarchy is perhaps less obvious but no less tragic than that of women. Men are encouraged to identify with a model no human being can successfully emulate: to be mini-rulers of narrow universes. They are internally split, into a "spiritual" self that is supposed to conquer their baser animal and emotional natures. They are at war with themselves: in the West, to "conquer" sin; in the East, to "conquer" desire or ego. Few escape from these wars undamaged. Men lose touch with their feelings and their bodies..."

Take from this what you will. I'm done bitching...

As for Starhawk, she's not an indian, she's a self-proclaimed witch with a good PR firm. Her parents are Russian Jews.
That Spirit of Transgender link you posted there ends with a made-up quote from the Tao Te Ching. This is pretty common for new-age glurge. I know the Tao Te Ching pretty well, and checked two translations. Nothing even close to that quote appears anywhere therein.
