well, in the end, ignorance won... and Derpy has been changed. I'm not dissapointed with Hasbro, well, not much, I'm mainly dissapointed in the people that had to kick up a stink in the first place. Was it really that important? Was this one little gift to us Derpy fans really worth kicking up such a fucking stink? For the last fucking time DERPY DOES NOT MEAN MENTALLY CHALLENGED, NOR DID HER CHARACTER IMPLY THAT SHE WAS!

Hasbro, I'm only dissapointed because you caved, why not stand beside us, stick up for Derpy. How is Derpy any different from Patrick, Goofy, and other characters of this type? Your only saving grace is that, as far as her name is concerned, its returned to being ambiguous, you might not be able to call her Derpy, but you haven't stopped us from doing so by renaming her yourselves. Just do us that one favor, never ever rename her.

Hopefully they'll stick to at least keeping her in the background, occassionally doing goofy things like popping up behind a curtain on stage, poking her head out of a well when we least expect it, appearing in a snow globe, or ruining a game of bobbing for apples while wearing paper bags ;-;
