God is compassionate and loves all His children. But if you don't drink the blood of his son and eat his flesh and try to convince others to commit the same cannibalism, you will spend forever in Hell.

Most folks overlook that literal translation of Bible scripture, as well as many other verses and teachings. They pick and choose what they want to believe in and try not to mention or draw attention to other parts.

Its really too bad all the "lesser" gods were so hell-bent (pun intended) on killing Eve. Sometimes I think the world would have been better off if the worship of many gods was still the main and accepted form of religion.

Then again, we've already seen how many wars have been fought and lives lost due to conflicts between Jews and Muslims. Its kind of scary to think about how that might have been ten times worse if wars were being fought between followers of Ares and Athena, while Zeus worshipers dropped bombs on countries that followed Hades, etc. Modern day weapons + the following of several dozen gods? Yikes...

It would be... scary, to say the least.

Canada and Australia would worship Aphrodite. They never do anything, lol. :)

lol, yeah Switzerland would worship Aphrodite too. America would probably be mostly Zeus followers... which would lead to the country waging wars around the world like we are already. After all, our god would be considered "better than all the others" cause he was the king of the gods.

Ugh.... This damned country... *facepalm*

Everyone should go watch 'A Fish Out of Water'. It's a documentary that combats all those religious fanatics that say that gay people are going to hell because the Bible says so. It's really interesting because they got priests and ministers from both sides of the debate and experts interpreting passages. The rant about Sodom and Gomorrah made me laugh.

I might look into that, actually. Thank you. :)
