Depends what way you'd go with it. There's the apocalyptic and more likely scenario that your Facebook page flags up your FurAffinity activity, much like listening to spotify or watching netflix, thus polarizing the majority of the community.

Or there's adding more of a social element to FurAffinity, a little like deviant art did. Having a better implementation of groups, having notices for mentions on other pages and artworks.

Then I have this odd vision of a version of facebook where everyone's characters talk to each other, and all artwork is photographs of their strange lives, and journals are... well, journals.

I probably wouldn't add myself to that - just in terms of 99.5% of my facebook friends having no idea that i'm into furry, and of that percentage at least half of those people being internet savvy enough to know about this website and give me enough banter to drive me over the edge of insanity @_@

Now, a private social network on FA, there's an idea.

Well there is a Furbook or a social networking site that is like Facebook, just for furs, since at one point on Facebook. They made it so you couldn't have your fun name and had to have your real name or your Facebook page would be banned or deleted, something like that. So when that was happening. Lots of furs were leaving Facebook and I saw links to Furbook or whatever it was called. Try googling it and it might come up.

A furry Facebook would implode with spectactular rapidity by the sheer mass of drama it would contain.

Except on ApeBook. There the drama is Grade-A monkeytastic.

No way! ApeBook has a lot to offer that PriMates never had; the fling a message function is quite useful, and the grooming notes on everyone's front page keep you social with your simian compadres.

Not to mention, they let you update your rump color as an indicator of your mood.
