Has anyone ever played a decent roleplaying game?When are they going to start coming out with any good ones?
First off lets get it out there...
Pokemon is NOT a roleplaying game.
Roleplaying implies you are playing a role.But you don't in pokemon.You just train pokemon under the guidance of yourself with no options.
If you're playing a roleplaying game you should be left with some fucking choices.
Not just...Oh here are 4 attacks you can choose from.NO!That's not roleplaying.
Dungeons and Dragons.Dark Heresy.Warhammer.THOSE are roleplaying.Sure be it a game you have to use statistics and dice for,but those are fucking fun.Whats with the new generation and their roleplaying?

I am very passionate about roleplaying.These new people though need to learn how to roleplay though.What happened to character sheets?Things that defined your character to certain rules of engagement?Without a persona of their own your character just falls into the category of fucking nothing.I dont wanna play with a fucking nothing.Get out of here!It sounds douchebaggy of me,but I hate when you actually try to roleplay and the other person is like...DURR~!! 2 sentences.Its like...dude...I just created a scenario we can play through together in an epic journey and you aren't fucking contributing at all.
Then there are those people that want to cyber too much...Yeah not EVERYTHING has to be about your dick.You sack of shit.I fucking hate you so much...Like c'mon now.I like roleplaying an action adventure.Something where you can travel the galaxies and explore new places.Do the impossible with your fucking imagination,but when everything leads to the same thing...THATS BORING!That's not interesting at all.
Some favored roleplaying games would be known as Final Fantasy.Well,to be honest recently final fantasy has lost its touch to being a roleplaying game.Once again you don't get choices.When you're limited to what you do its not roleplaying.Its just game.Final Fantasy is a great Game,but its not a fucking roleplaying game.I admit the others were though.They had alternate endings where as sometimes the outcome is different if you chose to do certain things or not do certain things.Like in X 2 you can either get the shitty ending or the good one.
A good roleplaying game would have to be like Fable or Skyrim or even Mass Effect.THOSE are roleplaying.You get to make decisions that affect the future gameplay.YOU choose the fate of your character and those around with your decisions.THATS a fucking roleplay.
I'm not trying to be a douche,but if you're going to half ass a roleplay I don't even wanna play.I don't even want to engage into it.Contribute to the storyline.If you're not intersted in it enough to try then why do you bother?That's like if we were kids and we were all playing PowerRangers and you decide you want to be a lion...HOW THE FUCK DOES THAT MAKE SENSE?!It doesn't.And DONT make these ridiculous over powered characters either.I'm tired of these..."Oh yeah they have like super powers beyond that of a mortals and they're gods"
THATS FUCKING BULLSHIT!Dont play an omnipotent being.Thats gay.I rather stick a broom stick up my anus while swallowing a rhinocerous dick instead of play a game with such an OP butthole.
Would YOU play a game with a overpowered opponent?NO!Cause then the game gets fucking impossible.
Would you play a game with an overpowered partner?NO!Cause then the douche can do anything and everything you do is insignificant and pointless.
Get a medium.Play a character that you can develope and has certain traits that define them.
I'm not trying to say you have to put a whole lot of effort into roleplaying.My biggest issue is no effort in the developement of a story.If you're just bullshitting in forums thats cool and all.I don't care,but when you roleplay in a group in a campaign its like...Okay lets be more logical.
I'm not saying everything has to be hyper realistic.That everything you do has to be scientifically proven.What I'm saying is let it make some god damn sense.Give us a god damn back story atleast so we know where the fuck you get your stupid lazer beam eyes or your super powered ass of doom.Or whatever you fucking power may be so that it makes sense when you use these skills in a fantasy game.

damn im really no good with roleplaying e.e havent been thought at all but i get really attracted to it
and yeah, im currently playing mass effect 2 even tho it isnt much of a roleplay, the options u take doesnt change MUCH .. but still does so xD
anyways, another RP game i know would be hmm o.o the witcher... but i didnt really liked it x.x

As for the games..Yeah they don't really change too much.The story is still the same,but things you do change your love interests or who dies near the end.
Especially in Mass Effect 2.If you don't have the loyalty of every character you're fucked.And every conversation you have with them can change their thoughts of you.
Is it a good game?Thats up to you.But I'm just glad you too have an appreciation for roleplaying.

and o.o i havent ever been in any of the campaigns there isnt many of those around where i live :C
i still wish i could participate in one tho -w-

If you have something in mind you want to roleplay then there are plenty of PDFs you can get for rules on how to play.
there was no way i would read so much e_e
im afraid of 1 page long reading D: that was like 234534156 pages or something e_e

You should just be reading the character creation guides.
Most of the book is comprised of reference.Like if you wanted to know what your skill does you go to the book and find it under an index.Things like that.Besides making your character your GM is supposed to give you the setting and guide you through the campaign.
