You can post a journal entry any day or time of the week. I only post an entry whenever I have something to say. As of lately, I just didn't have anything to post about. Nothing really going on.

Sorry to hear that your job is over. I know it's tough because jobs are hard to get out there these days. I hope you can find another one in time.

The thing is that if I was to get a job in my field of work I would be make big money. Welding and machining is big right now, but hardly anyone will hire someone with 2 year experience. I could try somewhere else, but it does not look like I am getting a job any time soon.

Do you have a degree in welding or machining?

To tell you the truth I am not that good at welding, but my teacher says I am one of the best machinists he has ever had. After I get out of the portage lake career center I will be going to a trade school to get some certificates for different machines. Currently I am beveling pipe on a lathe, a slow and boring process. I did design and make an entire chess set, but have seen it up the board yet. When I do I will take a picture and post it here. The prices though look like they were made by a professional.

You can learn how to weld better on the side by using scrap metal pieces to practice on. Thats what I've done over the years.

The key is to not let it "pop" on you because that will just blow your weld right out of the scene. You see, melted metal is like water. And it will splash like water too. Might have to lower your amps a little on your welding machine if you're welding on small pipes or tube frames.

Once you adjusted the amps. Try to do it all in one nice straight shot without any "pops". Once it cools it will look like a pro did it.

If machine work is something you enjoy doing for a living. I'd say go for the trade. There is alot of money in that line of work.

I predict I only need about $150 at least for the con maybe more. So I have enough to go. But things happen.
