Fuck. Pet's Health Decline, No Way To Pay Of A Vet Visit
13 years ago
How much blood would you shed to stay alive?
We've had our two fancy rats, Sean and Gus since New Years Eve last year. Within the last hour or so, Gus started tilting his head to the left when he walked, even just stretching or sitting up. The possible reason why he's doing this are an ear infection, he had a stroke that we didn't see happen or tumor, which we can't find out because we don't have the money to take him to a vet, nor do we know a vet that would take payment plans. Normally, Gus is the hyper, never stay in the same place, doesn't like to be held for long or pet. He keeps on curling up and laying his head on my pants. He -just- started warming up to me too.
I'm going to be crushed if he passes away from whatever he has, especially this young.

i am sure if you show how much that pet means to you that someone with a heart will help you out.
:/
all i can think of, suga.
Other than that, you can go to a local pet store and look in the fish section for antibiotics. Contrary to popular belief, an antibiotic is an antibiotic, at least in this scenario. Look for something that has Tetracycline in it. And try to be conscious of how large the pills or tablets are, as your rat will have to swallow them.
Here are some brands you might look for and the corresponding active ingredient:
Aquatic Doxycycline (doxycycline 100mg)
Fish-cycline (tetracycline 250mg)
Aqua-Flex (Cephalexin 500mg)
Fish-Mox (amoxicillin 250mg)
The biggest thing you can do is take him to the vet, but if that's not an option make sure you look for a product that has only the active ingredient, or the least auxiliary ingredients are few.
I wish you luck, I had rats of my own and have a guinea pig now. :/
