A friendly fellow came knocking on my door today. He was rather cool and upbeat. He said he was earning points for the company he worked for, a magazine company. So we discuss business (I humor him since he's so friendly). As we talk, he makes note of how his company also donates books bought to orphaned children and how he was an orphan himself. Despite everything looking legit (he had a receipt and everything), I had a very uneasy feeling...

So as I allow him to use my bathroom, I do a quick Google search of his company; Midwest Circulation LLC. It seems that there were quite a few people taken in by charismatic salespersons. It was a scam! With the recent death of my mother, I was able to use her as an excuse to be mentally incapable of purchasing anything. So with a heavy sigh and a head held low, he left my apartment. But now I'm scared because he does have my name and address. Oh boy. Watch out for these guys! I've heard about money scams to missing persons with these folks! I'll be stashing knives all around my apartment just in case someone decides to break in.
