New video up! This one is of me slush casting a resin mask :D This is only one example of how I did one single mask so please use what works for you. I made the video to be more entertaining to watch than to use as a bookmarked tutorial.

but yeah cutting with scissors or blades is sooo much more pleasant..
I think you're crazy for not wearing gloves. but if gloves cause rashes for you that sucks. wearing so many pairs of powdered nitrile gloves a day makes my hands feel terrible and want to fall off, but it's better than having to scrub off resin. does that liquid glove stuff actually work? sounds like it would be unpleasant to get off your skin too. is it?
saying the resin contains no hazardous ingredients is a bit scary and misleading, and personally I would remove that bit. but you did link the MSDS, that was good
I much prefer a non physical barrier when possible. Keeps me 'closer to the action' and washes off easily (though I prefer to try and not spill in the first place). I'm not sure what would be best for you considering how much you work with resin though - my exposure is really rather slight given how few masks I cast a year. I picked up some blue liquid soap from smooth-on that actually takes resin (and foam) off really well. You have to scrub a bit but it's worth it to me ^^
my section 2 of the 65d MSDS says "harmful by inhalation, irritating to eyes, respiratory system and skin, limited evidence of a carcinogenic effect, harmful; danger of serious damage to health by prolonged exposure through inhalation"
oh shit I see what you're saying. The US version of the sheet does say it's 'not hazardous', while the EU and Canadian one has all the warnings. huh
Well it still points out to use a respirator (I do) but that's it's merely 'irritating' to skin which is what gloves are to me so well I'll pick my limited protection over getting hives I guess XD
there are also unpowdered nitril gloves out there, in case your issue is with the powder. or those extremely cheap plastic foil gloves like you can get at the gas station. not very sturdy, but better than nothing. I also have them seen used at butcheries and at Subway's.
I know what you mean. I mix up car paints for a living and occasionally I have to use them nitril gloves, too, and after an hour or so my hands's skin is swollen with moisture. :P
You can see in he video that the head is stiff - there is no danger of any parts of it deforming :) And if they did then that could be put back right with a heat gun.
Going to have to look into a heat gun XD Ive been meaning to buy one for months, especially since my college courses are moving into metal working and a heat gun comes in handy for that stuff sometimes.
You could probably make more molds and do more at a time, since they seem so time consuming for doing one at a time... though, unless you plan on selling blanks regularly it would be a waste of time to make more molds. X3
