I've never taken to fursuiting as a job aswell. I think it might be too stressful for someone still in school like me, and the fact that I'm not very good yet doesn't help. But I enjoy what I like, and like what I enjoy. :)

The video prompted me to post it now not later, yes. But it's based on a few things that I go over once or twice a year. Basically about how I take pride in being who I am and that person is an artist not a manufacturer :p The video comments just prompted me to bold the "I do this for me and for fun" portion a bit more.

I have a sneaking suspition this deals with the idiots on YouTube. I loved the tutorial hun and it did give me one really good idea as well as save me a ton of money. The place I was ordering my silicone and onyx platicast was nearly triple the price of the site you linked.

I truly must say that not only are we grateful for the tutorials and your gift of suit making, but for being an inspiration. I honestly believe its because of your suits, especially your older ones (such as the tiger, your first wolf, and Red XIII) that got my passion for suits going. Your skills push me to learn and become better and learn, your videos and how-to's help guide away from the "don't do that!!!"... I think we all can say thank you for you just being you. <3

I feel for you. In college, i first majored in art, but since then have switched to biology.
Love art and am a decent artist myself, but through taking art classes with deadlines & such made me not enjoy it anymore.
I realized that being dependent on my artistic ability to fulfill paychecks was not desirable.
It would become a meaningless task, all life & inspiration taken out of the artwork; only a job & not a hobby anymore.
It takes a certain type of person to do that & i am not that individual.
I run along similar lines as you stated previously; i like to do what i want, when i want.

Makes perfect sense. I can't articulate how well I think this approaches the comments on your slush-casting video in words, so I'll just give you a thumbs up on the other side of my laptop screen. Keep up the excellent work in the way that you like to do it, because I love seeing your suits, and so many others do too. :)

keep doing what you are doing because that's the way to do it. Doing some thing you , sharing how you do it and making some coin doing it is a win in my book. when I'm ready to get a suit I know to look, who I think is one of the top makers of suits.

If this is in regards to the fact that some folks expressed concern for your well being then it's kind of childish to get all in a tizzy over it. It was nice of them to be concerned for your well being whether you liked it or not. Just my two cents.

i watched that vid and never thought of it as work but as pride in your art . If it was work you wouldn't be displaying and showing others how to make suits.

I am actually thinking to try make my own resin form with the help of your vid, which is awesome though , i still haven;t figured how to speed myself up
to get it done faster lol

If only more people could be like you, chasing passion not the money ya know? Er well everyone needs money it's kinda hard to get around without it, but you see making fursuits as a passion and it SHOULD be that way. I don't think it should ever feel like a dead end job, so you do what you gotta do. Love your stuff hun ^-^
