Not that I can say I know what you're going through, but I'm pretty damn close. I've been battling massive bouts of depression for months and months now, it's not at all fun, and I'm going through / have gone through a lot of the same shit. Life is very unfair at time. It seems as if you and your family have dealt with more than their fare share of frustrations and trouble recently. Had you been closer to the Cape, I could have offered you a summer job, as I know that is pressing on your mind.

I wish I could say anything to make you feel better, but it is really difficult to find those words when you can't really fill the shoes of another person. I know that you will be able to get through all of this crap and come out stronger at the other end. Things may seem chaotic at our level of perception, but all of life follows a pattern. You may not be able to see it as a whole, but your life is far from directionless. I'm not here to proselytise about anything in particular. I just don't want you to give up. It might seem hard now, but life will get better. When it rains it pours, but it won't rain forever.
