Being pagan is one thing. The altar? That sounds a little creepy. I was once heavily disliked by my parents for turning my back on God, but they learned to deal with it and love me again. I just don't like serving a deity with worshippers who are contradictory and vote for a party which screws up the country. But besides the point, not much I can do, other than wish you luck.

It's not really their decision what religion you are, and I know why they are concerned, but all those rumours about paganism are not true, and they need to realize that they should love you for who they are...

I'm not so sure on what pagan is, but I'll give you what support I can...
Just know that, in majority of cases, your parents will always care for you no matter what your choices. They will hopfully come to terms with it and allow you to follow your own faith.

Your a cool guy, and you've always been friendly in my experience. If your parents are real christians, they'll see that, and realise that they love you no matter what.

Sorry, I'm was referring to the druids of old. The ones in Gaul and Wales. Anybody who believes in a peaceful religion, like your friend, is cool, and I'm sure druidiasm (does that even begin to be a word?) has evolved with the time. Christianity use to also be a violent religion full of assholes.

I know. Believe me, I got the whole nine yards about it. Even had some fanatics quote the "Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live" bit at me. Threw the bible at me and missed. XD I LMAO over that one. Don't sweat it. ^_^
