...no one on my moms side of the family actually supports my art. The minute I started drawing back in '07, they started saying how my older cousin was going to go to school for art and how amazing he was. but the thing was, my cousin didn't draw, and he couldn't draw, and he even admitted it. Recently like back over Thanksgiving break, I was sitting at my grandparents drawing(i had brought my laptop, due to i really don't do traditional art that much anymore. before I use to do it all the time, now I'm doing digital mainly), and my aunt who lives with them is going on and on about my first youngest cousin is such an amazing artist. Okay, i will admit, she has talent, she is good. But she doesn't put effort into it, and she doesn't care. (her art isn't great, bu when i was her age, my art was like hers). And I full heartedly support her if she wants to go after a career in art. But the minute I ask them what they think of my art, its all 'its okay' and they ignore it the question.

for once I would like for them to support me like how they support my cousin.

yeah i know this is something small and trivial...but it means something to me if my family supports my art... and knowing over half of them don't, kinda puts a damper on things.
