3 anyone ever felt certain artists are above human?

I do, and it's weird, because even if I get back into drawing, I can't be /like/ them.
Though, that was never the point of me drawing. I never cared if I am an artist or not, and never really considered myself one to begin with.
But, these artists, their ability to produce art at all, and in such great volume, is part of what makes them superheroes. This is just a passing thought but it's kind of discouraging. Come to think of it, yea, that's exactly it. It's the fact that they have an edge even when it comes to simply fulfilling their passion of drawing. Ah. That's the thing I'm worst at.
edit: Thanks for the flattering comments! But I wasn't really saying my art sucks... I actually loved where my style was going. (heh, now I hope I don't come off as arrogant) Whether or not my art is good is not quite what this journal was about.

A unique style is more important that photorealism or photoshop shader skillz.
I think personality and style defines what you make, not your level of talent. Content matters too. If any of that wasn't the case, everyone would only look at the best artist since there would be no need for anyone else.
Two artists can envy each other. One might wish they could color like the other, while that artist envies the others ability to draw complex poses.
Your art is great, keep at it. Is it the best art that humanity has ever produced, or every will produce? Probably not, but there will ALWAYS be someone better at anything you try and do. Doesn't make your work any worse.
I agree with markus. You have a recognizable and enjoyable style and I love seeing it. You ARE the 1%. :)
