Hunger games.

vombatiformes and I just got back. The movie was fine, but the people smelling up the room were not.It was hot. HOT. WITH BODIES.
there were tween girls next to me that kept commenting on my hair and beard and pushing into me and giggling. There were little boys all of the same hair type in front, racial slurs abound. douchebags behind farting Axe.
Needless to say, the atmosphere was perfect. When Katniss kissed Peeta in the cave, it got hotter and I could SMELL the bad breath.
I felt like I was fighting for my life. I felt like I was right there with Katniss. I want to kill everyone.
FA+

Only the resulting fantasy about being arrested kept me from doing it.
YET I TOO ALSO THOUGHT THE MOVIE WAS GOOD.
IF ANYONE NEEDS US WE'LL BE SHOWERING.
. . .
AT LEAST IT'S KILLING GRASS.
I spent today when watching the Hunger games, making snarky comments out loud. So much fun.
Best movie review.
and put them on fire.
"yes, Mr. Judge sir, it WAS arson, but it smelled delicious! DELISHISSS! Can't you see why we HAD to do it?"
I remember when I was young, and we went to see "The Last Unicorn" on the movies when it was all-new, three rows forward sat a little family, and someone down there smelled like somethign many days dead, mixed with a sharp stench that made ym nose burn and threatened to turn my stomach. I missed out most of the film's atmosphere because of that obviously rotten family down there. (the air vents shoved the air towards the rear of the rows, and there was nobody else in front of us, so it MUST have been them.)
This movie made me want to re-read them :( it was like a quick summary of book one where they showed clips from all the big scenes but didn't go into any of the delicious, delicious world-building at all.
Is Cinna and his costumes awesome in the move as well?
And unfortunately, I think my imagination might be a little more vivid then the movie or something, I was disappoint. Especially in the interview scene (maybe I'm remembering it wrong, but didn't her dress turn into a mockingjay? It has been a while since I've read them) - her dress just catches fire again.
