[Furry] 150k pageviews and my first "character theft"

First the quick and dirty, I hit 150k pageviews! Stopped paying attention to that stuff a long time ago, but hey, it's still a cool number :3
Now for the more amusing topic. I've had my first case of "character theft".
I put it in quotes because the profile mentions that he isn't the original Twile creator (who is, obviously, me) and that he'll delete the profile if I want him to.
But I don't want him to, so don't you all go hounding him to delete it. I find it flattering but mostly entertaining.
You see, I've never really come up with any elaborate backstory for my character. Frankly, it wouldn't much impact things, most people wouldn't pay attention to it, and it would almost definitely sound cliche. So hearing somebody else run through character history, personality and preferences in their own words is... amusing.

I've had someone take my character and change the colours before. Not to mention they didn't even use my name, just the image. They made me purple, dammit! :c

Recolors are pretty funny >o>' It's like saying that the colors alone make the character!
haha Sometimes they are, but I dun like being purple. ó.-.ò
The same sort of goes with my art. The one time someone used an FA icon that I made for someone else, I actually felt happy that they liked it enough to "steal" it and use it for themselves. Then again, this is all my opinion, and I can sorta understand why people would feel differently.

The worst I've had was someone took one of my icons and used it for their profile. I wouldn't have had a problem with it, but it was a picture of my puppy.
It does sound like this guy is a very cool individual too,having respect for you and making sure you're ok with it and everything. That's always great to see. = ]

I dont *Think* ive had any character theft yet.. Then again, i only have a puny amount of views compared to yourself too xD
TBH i dont think I would mind, depending on how they went about it. If they wwere like your one, and credited you, and just, wanted to mimic you, i would be ok with it
If they just shamelessly started posting up your art, and saying they were you, and just, ignoring you as a person/the original, THEN i would be pissed and raegfaec n stuff xD
I've actually -ran in- to several Minnie clones. It's always a rather fun conversation. A number of them have ran mere moments of me mentioning who I am. (because names don't always travel with art) Others, once I've explained that I'm cool with it, attempt to sex Minnie up. ... outside of doppelganger fucking being weird, I don't see what other people see in Minnie to begin with, so...
But grats, I suppose.
