Are the most annoying thing in the world and I hate people that do it.

Nope. When I submit a 9 page story, and get a favourite within a minute of posting it, that's someone trying to favwhore pageviews or shouts on their page, because they didn't actually READ THE STORY.
Arghleblugh. Mean what you do, do what you say, and say what you mean.
(Also, mean what you say. Saying what you do and doing what you mean are optional though, since I'm not sure that last one even means anything.)
