As a rule dogs are a bother @ cons...even if you feel she is well behaved at home-its quite a differnt experiance with them out of there environment. theres a lot of unseen hazards at Wild Nights for Dogs to encounter also-wild animals-cliffs-debris left behind by careless campers etc. also to consider are the other dogs factor...you never know how they will recieve each other, not to mention the barking and whimpering if others are trying to sleep. We have been kept awake by this befor and it makes for unfriendly looks by the other cabin mates...just my thoughts.

Yeah, I think I'd be better off testing her out in the wild at somewhere other than a con. It did cross my mind that with her in tow, I wouldn't be able to do everything I did last year and I definitely couldn't leave her tethered somewhere without expecting her talkative nature to eventually wear people thin.

The good news is that I do have a coworker who is always willing to take her (especially since I pay him $20 a night) so it's not like this is an emergency by any means.

The dog lover part of me says bring her! I'd love to see her. But the sensible part of me says it would probably be best not to take her. Oki makes very good points.

And you raise another point! While I am generally a social person, I also don't care for the amount of attention a dog would yield at a con. ;)

Lol, yea. Also, not trying to start drama or anything but there are some furs there that may want to have some "quality" time with your dog. Just fair warning.
